The Festival
The Independent Movie Review Awards was founded this year, 2020, with the aim of encouraging all filmmakers and screenplay writers in selective genres to take that leap and put your projects out there into the world to be shared and judged by your peers.
We are aiming for a bi-annual online only awards in the spring and fall of each year, with our first festivals to begin in 2021. As we move forward and out of COVID-19 we will be looking to establish a full location festival complete with screenings and other festivities, possibly in or around Doylestown, Pennsylvania.
IndieMRAwards is a companion festival to our Independent Movie Review project review and promotion website.
Independent Movie Review Awards accepts projects of all lengths in selective genres. IndieMRAwards also accepts screenplays for winner selection. All projects must be in English, have English subtitles or be written in English.
Award “Winners” will be announced on both of our Independent Movie Review and Independent Movie Reviews Awards websites and social media pages.
Also, all non-screenplay award “Winners” will be given a Featured Project promotional package ($280 value) for the winning project on the Independent Movie Review website and social media pages.
