Dr Cult-O M.E. Reviews “A Futile and Stupid Gesture”

Dr Cult-O M.E. | Independent Movie Review

REVIEW:
“Drunk Stoned Stupid Dead” documentary covered the birth and death of National Lampoon, a comic industry that changed the culture of comedy today.

David Wain of Upright Citizens Brigade fame brings a real acting story narrative of the central character Douglas Kenney. From Ohio to Harvard and on to fame and fortune till his suicide, the movie is fairly good because it’s sincere and well acted and written. Will Forte is Fine here and the director and writers wink at the viewers all the faults and obvious dramatic licensing in a movie. Big cast of UCB actors, and standout roles to Thomas Lennon as the insane Mr Mike O’Donahue and Joel McHale as Chevy Chase. Watch both on Netflix
